Ten days of giveaways and traveling down publishing memory lane and … new book news! Scroll to the bottom for the schedule.
In 2018, I was faced with the exciting opportunity of creating a brand new fantasy world for the first time since the words ‘Creepy Hollow’ had popped into my head in 2011.
And it was a little bit terrifying!
I had known for some months what kind of story I wanted to write, and who the characters were, but it took me a while to settle on exactly what the magic system was going to be. I abandoned a few early drafts before eventually deciding that Ridley’s world was a world of elemental magic.
Other things that happened in 2018 …
- I wrote a short story set in the Creepy Hollow world featuring the character Tilly, which was included in the anthology Once Upon A Quest.
- The Creepy Hollow books got a makever! (These are the covers that are still, in March 2022, the covers on the ebooks and paperbacks.)
- And we bought a house! It was still being built when we purchased it, and (of course) there were some delays that led to the house not being signed off on the day we were supposed to move, and we were “homeless” for a week! My husband and I (and our three doggies) spent a week living on a couch at our (very generous) friends’ house! And then, as luck would have it, we moved house on the same day Elemental Power was released ? (Certainly NOT my original plan!)
**GIVEAWAY**
a Rafflecopter giveaway10TH ANNIVERSARY MERCHANDISE
Reminder: I’ve created a special 10th anniversary design for the merchandise in my Society6 store. If you zoom in on the design, you’ll see that all the main characters (main character + love interest) from all the books I’ve written over the past ten years are featured in tiny text inside the 1 and 0!
i.e. Vi, Ryn, Calla, Chase, Em, Dash, Ridley, Archer, Elle, Dex, Sarah, Aiden, Livi, Adam, Andi, Noah, Sophie and Caleb.
There are some other secondary characters I really wanted to include, but once I started adding them … the list began to grow too long. ?
**SIGNED PRINT GIVEAWAY**
Another reminder: I’m giving away 20 signed, personalized prints with the 10th anniversary design (see the picture below) to 20 random people who leave a comment on this blog over the next ten days. All you have to do to enter is comment on this blog post or one of the others between now and March 10th. ?

Ridley Kanye Chronicles was the first series of your books that I read.I was instantly hooked and had to read all of the other books that you have written. I have loved each of the worlds that you have created in your different series’ and your characters are so vivid I felt like I was living their stories with them. You are an amazing writer. Thank you for giving me such awesome worlds to visit!
